Texas High School Football - Gunter overwhelms Walnut Grove

The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Gunter Tigers (Gunter, TX) and the host Walnut Grove Wildcats (Prosper, TX), observed Gunter's football squad bounce Walnut Grove by a count of 64-24.

The Tigers now own a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Trinity Christian for a non-league contest on Friday, September 8. Gunter will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 35-13 non-league loss to All Saints (Fort Worth, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 0-2.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Celina Bobcats (Celina, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 8. Walnut Grove will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Bobcats enter the match with a 2-0 record after their 77-41 non-league win over Bishop Lynch (Dallas, TX).
