The Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) football defeated the host Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC), 34-14 in Thursday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Maroon Devils face the Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, September 7. Swain County will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the bout with a 1-1 record after their 12-6 non-league loss to Murphy (Murphy, NC).
The Wildcats (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against Cherokee (Cherokee, NC). The Braves enter the non-league bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, Cherokee lost by Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC), 12-10, in a non-league bout.
