In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Strawberry Crest Chargers volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Sickles Gryphons.
The Chargers (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Newsome (Lithia, FL). The Wolves come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Newsome nudged Wharton (Tampa, FL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Gryphons encounter the Steinbrenner Warriors (Lutz, FL) in a battle, on Thursday, September 7. Sickles will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
