The Arnett Wildcats routed the visiting Merritt Oilers softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Wildcats (14-5) will now prepare for their battle against Fairview (Fairview, OK). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league battle with a 3-11 record.

The Oilers now sport a 8-8 record. They play next when they travel to Texhoma for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 5. Merritt will meet a Red Devils squad coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Hooker (Hooker, OK). The Red Devils record now stands at 10-7.
