The Crete Cardinals softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Lincoln Northwest Falcons to 10 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Crete moves its record to 3-3 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Ashland-Greenwood (Ashland, NE) to play the Bluejays in a non-league game on Saturday, September 2. The Bluejays come into the game with a record of 9-2. Ashland-Greenwood won 3-0 in their recent non-league game against Beatrice (Beatrice, NE)

In their next game, the Falcons play the Fairbury Jeffs (Fairbury, NE) in a non-league game, on Saturday, September 2. Lincoln Northwest will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Jeffs come into the game with a 0-8 record after their 11-1 non-league loss to Crete (Crete, NE).
