In Thursday's non-league contest, the Austin Black Bears (Decatur, AL) volleyball squad knocked off the visiting Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors (Huntsville, AL), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Black Bears battle the Madison County Tigers (Gurley, AL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 1. Austin will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Tigers come into the contest with a 9-4 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Good Hope (Cullman, AL).

With the loss, Whitesburg Christian Academy drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Falkville (Falkville, AL) to battle the Blue Devils in a 2A Area 14 contest on Thursday, September 7. The Blue Devils come into the contest with a record of 3-3.
