Illinois High School Volleyball - Mt. Vernon over Frankfort

Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Frankfort Redbirds (West Frankfort, IL), 2-0 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Rams clash with the Mattoon Greenwave (Mattoon, IL) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 2. Mt. Vernon will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Greenwave come into the match with a 0-3 record after their 2-1 league loss to Charleston (Charleston, IL).

With the loss, Frankfort drops to 2-8 on the campaign. The Redbirds travel to Crab Orchard (Marion, IL) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league match on Wednesday, September 6. The Trojans come into the match with a record of 1-2.
