The New Covenant Gryphons volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Kenston Forest Kavaliers to 0 in the Gryphons non-league victory on Thursday.

The Gryphons now possess a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westover Christian Academy for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 5. New Covenant will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Southwest Virginia Academy (Roanoke, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-2.

The Kavaliers (4-4) will now prepare for their game against Isle of Wight Academy (Isle of Wight, VA). The Chargers go into the VISAA Division 2 outing with a 2-3 record. In their last outing, Isle of Wight Academy was topped by Greenbrier Christian Academy (Chesapeake, VA), 3-0, in a league outing.
