Pennsylvania High School Football - South Williamsport loses to Canton

August 31, 2024: South Williamsport, PA 17702

The South Williamsport Mountaineers football team (South Williamsport, PA), was topped 17-8 in Saturday's non-league bout with the visiting Canton Warriors (Canton, PA)

With the win, Canton advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Warriors host Athens (Athens, PA) to encounter the Wildcats in a PIAA District IV bout on Saturday, September 7. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Athens won 44-6 in their recent non-league bout against Northwest Area (Shickshinny, PA)

The Mountaineers now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Troy for a non-league bout on Friday, September 6. South Williamsport will encounter a Trojans team coming off a 8-3 non-league win over Dover (Dover, DE). The Trojans record now stands at 2-0.
