In Saturday's non-league match, the host Silver Fighting Colts football squad scored a decisive 54-0 victory over the Gallup Bengals.
The Fighting Colts (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Deming (Deming, NM). The Wildcats enter the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Deming routed Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM), 28-21, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Bengals confront the Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 6. Gallup will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Skyhawks enter the match with a 2-0 record after their 26-8 non-league win over Santa Fe Indian (Santa Fe, NM).
