The Roswell Coyotes edged the visiting Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls football team by a score of 38-34 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Coyotes face the Artesia Bulldogs (Artesia, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 5. Roswell will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 53-0 non-league win over Goddard (Roswell, NM).

The Cavemen/Cavegirls (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lovington (Lovington, NM). The Wildcats enter the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Lovington was edged by Dexter (Dexter, NM), 26-20, in a non-league challenge.
