In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Jim Thorpe Olympians.
The Hurricanes (1-4) will now prepare for their outing against Tri-Valley (Hegins, PA). The Bulldogs go into the Schuylkill County 2 outing with a 0-1 record.
In their next game, the Olympians meet the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers (New Tripoli, PA) in a Colonial match, on Tuesday, September 3. Jim Thorpe will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 3-0 record after their 7-0 league win over Palmerton (Palmerton, PA).
