The Elgin Owls softball team scored 5 runs and held the host Chickasha Fighting Chicks to 1 in the Owls non-league win on Saturday.

The Owls now possess a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mangum for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 5. Elgin will confront a Tigers team coming off a 29-2 league win over Texhoma (Texhoma, OK). The Tigers record now stands at 13-4.

With the loss, Chickasha moves to 5-11 on the season. The Fighting chicks host Prague (Prague, OK) to confront the Red Devils in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 5. The Red Devils come into the battle with a record of 7-9. Prague won 12-1 in their recent league battle against Lincoln Christian (Tulsa, OK)
