In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Montgomery County Indians volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Boyd County Lions.
The Indians (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Jeffersontown (Louisville, KY). The Chargers enter the non-league challenge with a 0-8 record. In their last challenge, Jeffersontown was beaten by Whitefield Academy (Louisville, KY), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Lions meet the Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 31. Boyd County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Madison Southern (Berea, KY).
