In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Mt. Carmel Sundevils volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Chula Vista Learning Community Charter Cobras.

The Sundevils (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against La Costa Canyon (Carlsbad, CA). The Mavericks enter the non-league challenge with a 7-9 record. In their last challenge, La Costa Canyon was beaten by Rancho Buena Vista (Vista, CA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cobras meet the Lincoln Hornets (San Diego, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 3. Chula Vista Learning Community Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Rancho Buena Vista (Vista, CA).
