The Mustangs now possess a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Central Decatur for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 3. Murray will clash with a Cardinals team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Moravia (Moravia, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Nodaway Valley drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to East Marshall (Le Grand, IA) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 31. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 1-1. East Marshall won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Meskwaki Settlement (Tama, IA)
