Sardis Lions (Boaz, AL) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host New Hope Indians (New Hope, AL), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Sardis improves its record to 7-2 on the season. The Lions travel to Douglas (Douglas, AL) to face the Eagles in a 5A Area 13 test on Tuesday, September 3. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 1-6.

The Indians now own a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gadsden City for a non-league test on Saturday, August 31. New Hope will face a Titans squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Fort Payne (Fort Payne, AL). The Titans record now stands at 0-2.
