In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host St. Edmond Gaels volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Pocahontas Indians.
The Gaels (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Southeast Valley (Gowrie, IA). The Jaguars enter the challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Southeast Valley was beaten by Alta-Aurelia (Alta, IA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Indians meet the Sioux Central Rebels (Sioux Rapids, IA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, September 3. Pocahontas will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Rebels enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to West Bend-Mallard (West Bend, IA).
