The Southwestern Piasa Birds topped the visiting Valmeyer Pirates volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Sunday's non-league game.

Next up, the Piasa Birds face the East Alton-Wood River Oilers (Wood River, IL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, September 2. Southwestern will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The Oilers go into the game with a 1-4 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Madison (Madison, IL).
