With the win, Westlake improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Lions travel to South Paulding (Douglasville, GA) to face the Spartans in a non-league test on Thursday, August 8. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 0-1.

The Mustangs now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clarkston for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 13.
