With the triumph, Claxton improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Tigers host Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA) to face the Bulldogs in a 1A D-II Region 3 contest on Tuesday, August 12. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a record of 3-0. Emanuel County Institute won 6-3 in their recent non-league contest against Toombs County (Lyons, GA)

The Gators now hold a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Trinity Christian for a non-league contest on Thursday, August 7. Bulloch Academy will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 14-3 non-league loss to Crisp Academy (Cordele, GA). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-2.
