Georgia High School Softball - Evans gets by Screven County

August 8, 2025: Sylvania, GA 30467

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Evans Knights softball team scored a tight 6-5 victory over the Screven County Gamecocks.

The Knights (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Burke County (Waynesboro, GA). The Bears go into the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Burke County was nipped by Portal (Portal, GA), 10-2, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Gamecocks battle the Jenkins County War Eagles (Millen, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 3 match, on Tuesday, August 12. Screven County will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record.
