Smithville Seminoles (Smithville, MS) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Hamilton Lions (Hamilton, MS), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Smithville improves its record to 3-2 on the season. The Seminoles host Wheeler (Wheeler, MS) to face the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, August 9. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 1-0. Wheeler won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against New Site (New Site, MS)

The Lions now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hatley for a Class 2A Region 1 test on Friday, August 8. Hamilton will face a Tigers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Mantachie (Mantachie, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 0-2.
