Georgia High School Softball - Houston County bounces Jones County

The Houston County Bears routed the visiting Jones County Greyhounds softball squad by a final score of 16-4 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Bears (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Lowndes (Valdosta, GA). The Vikings go into the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Lowndes notched a victory over Thomas County Central (Thomasville, GA), 10-2, in a non-league battle.

The Greyhounds now possess a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Dodge County for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 10. Jones County will confront a Indians squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Bulloch Academy (Statesboro, GA). The Indians record now stands at 0-3.
