Michigan High School Football - Merritt Academy topped by Ashley

September 1, 2022: New Haven, MI 48048

The Merritt Academy Mustangs football team (New Haven, MI), was beaten 26-6 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Ashley Bears (Ashley, MI)

The Bears (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Carsonville-Port Sanilac (Carsonville, MI). The Tigers come into the North Central Thumb - Stripes (8 Man) challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Carsonville-Port Sanilac was beaten by Akron-Fairgrove (Fairgrove, MI), 26-14, in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to All Saints Central for a North Central Thumb - Stripes (8 Man) challenge on Friday, September 9. Merritt Academy will meet a Cougars team coming off a 28-16 league win over North Huron (Kinde, MI). The Cougars record now stands at 1-1.
