Texas High School Football - Lopez held off by Economedes

In Thursday's non-league game, the Economedes Jaguars (Edinburg, TX) football team tipped the visiting Lopez Lobos (Brownsville, TX), by a score of 38-35.

The Jaguars (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Carroll (Corpus Christi, TX). The Tigers go into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Carroll was nipped by Gregory-Portland (Portland, TX), 42-0, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Lobos encounter the Palmview Lobos (La Joya, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 9. Lopez will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Lobos go into the contest with a 3-0 record after their 40-34 non-league win over Roma (Roma, TX).
