North Carolina High School Football - Rocky Mount gets by Holmes

The Rocky Mount Gryphons football squad scored 28 points and limited the host Holmes Aces to 21 in the Gryphons non-league win on Thursday.

The Gryphons now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Goldsboro for a non-league battle on Friday, September 9. Rocky Mount will play a Cougars squad coming off a 20-0 non-league loss to Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-2.

Coming up next, the Aces play the Norview Pilots (Norfolk, VA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 9. Holmes will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Pilots go into the battle with a 1-1 record after their 32-6 non-league loss to Woodside (Newport News, VA).
