With the win, Union Pines upgrades its record to 4-3 on the year. The Vikings host Scotland (Laurinburg, NC) to play the Fighting Scots in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 6. The Fighting Scots go into the bout with a record of 1-2.

The Blue Comets now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they host Oak Grove for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 7. Asheboro will play a Grizzlies squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Grizzlies record now stands at 8-0.
