The Aquinas Monarchs (David City, NE) softball routed the host Twin River Titans (Genoa, NE), 6-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Monarchs (8-2) will now prepare for their bout against Grand Island Central Catholic (Grand Island, NE). The Crusaders go into the non-league bout with a 6-5 record. In their last bout, Grand Island Central Catholic was routed by North Platte (North Platte, NE), 6-4, in a non-league bout.
The Titans now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they host Polk County for a C District 7 bout on Tuesday, September 6. Twin River will confront a Slammers squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Centura-Central Valley (Cairo, NE). The Slammers record now stands at 9-4.
