The Kearney Bearcats softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Lincoln High Links to 0 in the Bearcats league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Kearney improves its record to 3-10 on the year. The Bearcats travel to Marian (Omaha, NE) to clash with the Crusaders in a non-league game on Saturday, September 3. The Crusaders come into the game with a record of 8-1. Marian won 13-0 in their recent league game against Benson (Omaha, NE)

In their next game, the Links clash with the Omaha North Vikings (Omaha, NE) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 2. Lincoln High will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Vikings come into the game with a 1-5 record after their 16-13 non-league loss to Plattsmouth (Plattsmouth, NE).
