In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Saint Mary's Panthers volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Alameda Hornets.
The Panthers (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Ironwood Ridge (Tucson, AZ). The Nighthawks come into the non-league battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, Ironwood Ridge was edged by San Marcos (San Marcos, CA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Hornets encounter the Skyline Titans (Oakland, CA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, September 8. Alameda will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record.
