The Tarpon Springs Spongers topped the visiting Clearwater Tornadoes volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Spongers now have a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gulf for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 6. Tarpon Springs will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Cypress Creek (Wesley Chapel, FL). The Buccaneers record now stands at 0-4.

The Tornadoes (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Palm Harbor University (Palm Harbor, FL). The Hurricanes enter the non-league test with a 4-0 record. In their last test, Palm Harbor University gained a win over Pinellas Park (Largo, FL), 3-0, in a non-league test.
