In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Melba Mustangs volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs.

The Mustangs (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against The Ambrose School (Meridian, ID). The Archers come into the 2A Western Idaho battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, The Ambrose School achieved victory over Cole Valley Christian (Meridian, ID), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Mustangs encounter the Cascade Ramblers (Cascade, ID) in a 1A Long Pin battle, on Saturday, September 3. Horseshoe Bend will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record.
