The Asbury Park Bishops football team (Asbury Park, NJ), was ripped 50-0 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Weequahic Indians (Newark, NJ)
The Indians (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Verona (Verona, NJ). The Hillbillies come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Verona trounced Madison (Madison, NJ), 34-31, in a league challenge.
The Bishops now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ocean Township for a Shore - Constitution challenge on Friday, September 8. Asbury Park will meet a Spartans team coming off a 28-14 non-league win over Lacey Township (Lanoka Harbor, NJ). The Spartans record now stands at 2-0.
