The Bowie Bulldogs football team (Bowie, MD), was tipped 26-20 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Mergenthaler Vo-Tech Mustangs (Baltimore, MD)

The Mustangs (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Middletown (Middletown, MD). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Middletown was tipped by Frederick (Frederick, MD), 29-12, in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Parkdale for a Prince George's County 4A/3A challenge on Friday, September 8. Bowie will meet a Panthers team coming off a 14-8 non-league loss to Kenwood (Baltimore, MD). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.
