The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Bobcats (Clearwater, NE) and the visiting Boyd County Spartans (Spencer, NE), observed Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s football squad bounce Boyd County by a count of 52-14.

The Bobcats now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lutheran-Northeast for a D1 District 6 (8 Man) contest on Friday, September 15.

Coming up next, the Spartans play the Wausa Vikings (Wausa, NE) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 8. Boyd County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Vikings go into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 28-24 non-league win over Chambers/Wheeler Central (Chambers, NE).
