The Middletown North Lions football team (Middletown, NJ), was tipped 21-17 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Brick Memorial Mustangs (Brick, NJ)

The Mustangs (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Barnegat (Barnegat, NJ). The Bengals come into the Shore - Independence challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Barnegat was tipped by Manchester Township (Lakehurst, NJ), 36-24, in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Howell for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 8. Middletown North will meet a Rebels team coming off a 21-20 non-league loss to Wall Township (Wall, NJ). The Rebels record now stands at 0-1.
