In Friday's non-league game, the Lone Star Rangers (Frisco, TX) football team smashed the host Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX), by a score of 42-7.

The Rangers (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Reedy (Frisco, TX). The Lions come into the 5A-1 Region II District 6 game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Reedy overwhelmed Denison (Denison, TX), 34-7, in a non-league game.

The Elks now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Weatherford for a non-league game on Friday, September 8. Burleson will battle a Kangaroos team coming off a 55-37 non-league loss to Pearce (Richardson, TX). The Kangaroos record now stands at 1-1.
