The Sequoyah Eagles football squad scored 49 points and restricted the host Checotah Wildcats to 27 in the Eagles non-league victory on Friday.

The Eagles now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Locust Grove for a non-league battle on Friday, September 15.

Coming up next, the Wildcats face the Haskell Haymakers (Haskell, OK) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 8. Checotah will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Haymakers enter the battle with a 1-0 record after their 20-12 non-league win over Caney Valley (Ramona, OK).
