Maryland High School Football - Lackey tips Chopticon

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Lackey Chargers (Indian Head, MD) and the host Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD), observed Lackey's football squad edge Chopticon by a count of 14-9.

The Chargers now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to McDonough for a Southern Maryland - Potomac contest on Thursday, September 7. Lackey will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 48-0 league loss to Great Mills (Great Mills, MD). The Rams record now stands at 0-1.

Coming up next, the Braves encounter the Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD) in a Southern Maryland - Potomac contest, on Saturday, September 9. Chopticon will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Cavaliers go into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 31-19 non-league win over St. Charles (Waldorf, MD).
