The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Clifton-Clyde Eagles (Clyde, KS) and the visiting Hanover Wildcats (Hanover, KS), observed Clifton-Clyde's football squad bounce Hanover by a count of 50-8.

The Eagles now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Blue Valley for a non-league contest on Friday, September 8. Clifton-Clyde will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 40-30 non-league win over St. Paul (St. Paul, KS). The Rams record now stands at 1-0.
