The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, NE) and the visiting Conestoga Cougars (Murray, NE), observed Johnson County Central's football squad bounce Conestoga by a count of 40-6.

The Thunderbirds now own a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Lourdes Central Catholic for a non-league contest on Friday, September 8. Johnson County Central will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 62-26 non-league win over Palmyra (Palmyra, NE). The Knights record now stands at 2-0.

Coming up next, the Cougars encounter the Freeman Falcons (Adams, NE) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 8. Conestoga will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Falcons go into the contest with a 0-2 record after their 48-26 non-league loss to Elmwood-Murdock (Murdock, NE).
