North Carolina High School Football - Corinth Holders succumbs to South Johnston

The South Johnston Trojans thwarted the host Corinth Holders Pirates football team by a count of 28-12 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, South Johnston upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Trojans travel to Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC) to encounter the Spartans in a 3A Quad County outing on Friday, September 15. The Spartans go into the outing with a record of 0-2.

With the loss, Corinth Holders moves to 1-2 on the season. The Pirates travel to Cleveland (Clayton, NC) to encounter the Rams in a Greater Neuse River 4A outing on Friday, September 15. The Rams go into the outing with a record of 3-0. Cleveland won 46-0 in their recent non-league outing against West Johnston (Benson, NC)
