Arizona High School Football - Sunrise Mountain topped by Desert Mountain

The Sunrise Mountain Mustangs football team (Peoria, AZ), was beaten 31-7 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ)

The Wolves (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ). The Firebirds come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Chaparral achieved victory over Shadow Ridge (Surprise, AZ), 42-0, in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Mountain View for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 8. Sunrise Mountain will meet a Mountain Lions team coming off a 52-0 non-league loss to Horizon (Scottsdale, AZ). The Mountain Lions record now stands at 0-2.
