The Dwight/Gardner-South Wilmington Trojans football squad scored 40 points and restricted the visiting St. Edward Green Wave to 14 in the Trojans non-league victory on Friday.

The Trojans now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ridgewood for a Chicagoland Prairie battle on Friday, September 8. Dwight/Gardner-South Wilmington will play a Rebels squad coming off a 48-6 non-league win over Clemente (Chicago, IL). The Rebels record now stands at 2-0.

Coming up next, the Green Wave play the Christ the King Gladiators (Chicago, IL) in a Chicagoland Christian battle, on Saturday, September 9. St. Edward will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Gladiators enter the battle with a 2-0 record after their 48-3 non-league win over Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, IL).
