    With the win, Kilgore upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Pine Tree (Longview, TX) to encounter the Pirates in a non-league outing on Friday, September 8. The Pirates go into the outing with a record of 1-1. Pine Tree won 42-22 in their recent non-league outing against Lindale (Lindale, TX)
