The Herington Railroaders football squad scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Wakefield Bombers to 20 in the Railroaders non-league victory on Friday.

The Railroaders now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lyndon for a non-league battle on Friday, September 8. Herington will face a Tigers squad coming off a 54-0 non-league win over Lebo (Lebo, KS). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.

Coming up next, the Bombers face the Solomon Gorillas (Solomon, KS) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 8. Wakefield will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Gorillas enter the battle with a 0-1 record after their 44-18 non-league loss to Rural Vista [Hope/White City] (Hope, KS).
