In Friday's non-league game, the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) football team tipped the visiting Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC), by a final score of 34-33.

The Spartans (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record.
