The Pickens Academy Pirates football team (Carrollton, AL), was ripped 38-0 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Southern Academy Cougars (Greensboro, AL)

The Cougars (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Lowndes Academy (Lowndesboro, AL). The Rebels come into the AISA A Region I challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Lowndes Academy trounced Coosa Valley Academy (Harpersville, AL), 51-0, in a league challenge.

The Pirates now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Patrician Academy for a AISA AA Region II challenge on Friday, September 8. Pickens Academy will meet a Saints team coming off a 27-20 league loss to Banks Academy (Birmingham, AL). The Saints record now stands at 1-2.
