The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Pisgah Dragons (Sandhill, MS) and the host Richton Rebels (Richton, MS), observed Pisgah's football squad edge Richton by a count of 29-28.

The Dragons now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Sebastopol for a non-league contest on Friday, September 8. Pisgah will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 29-22 non-league win over Lake (Lake, MS). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-0.

Coming up next, the Rebels encounter the Resurrection Catholic Eagles (Pascagoula, MS) in a 1A Region 8 contest, on Friday, September 8. Richton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 35-0 non-league loss to Presbyterian Christian (Hattiesburg, MS).
